 On June 27, 2024, the World Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) proudly organized World SME Day at Le Meridien Windsor Place, Janpath, New Delhi. This prestigious event celebrated the invaluable contributions of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to the global economy. 

The theme for this year’s celebration, “One Europe One SME,” underscored the significance of unity and collaboration among SMEs across Europe. It highlighted the importance of a cohesive and integrated approach to  growth, innovation, and competitiveness within the European SME sector.

The event brought together a diverse array of stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, policymakers, industry leaders, and academics. It provided a platform for insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and the exchange of best practices. Various sessions focused on the challenges and opportunities faced by SMEs, the role of digital transformation, and strategies for sustainable development.

Keynote speakers emphasized the need for supportive policies, access to finance, and the creation of an enabling environment to nurture the growth of SMEs. The event also showcased success stories of SMEs that have significantly impacted their communities and economies, inspiring others to follow suit.
